My name is Joshua Trader and I am the Head  Coach and Owner of Mid-Michigan Wrestling Club. Below is a brief background on some of my wrestling and coaching history.

 

• Coaching for 10 years and wrestling for 20.

• 2014 Veterans National Champ

• USA Wrestling Bronze certified coach

• Team Michigan freestyle/greco coach

• Team Michigan Cadet National Team coach

• Highly involved at the national level with coaches education.

• Have coached all levels of wrestlers from youth (beginners) up to men and women who are wrestling internationally and in college. 

 

Some of my goals for this club are listed below:

 

• Help wrestlers of all ages from Mid-Michigan become better in the sport of wrestling while having fun in the “off-season” and building relationships outside their own wrestling room.

• Help put Mid-Michigan and the surrounding area on the “map” for freestyle and greco.

• Regardless of school  or club affiliation help the wrestler become a better well rounded wrestler in all three styles to help them be a more well rounded wrestler.

• Help wrestlers further their passion for the sport by sharing my passion for the sport with them.

 

I want the wrestlers to set goals, visualize success, work hard, persevere and overcome obstacles in order to reach their goals - this cycle repeats itself over and over in wrestling and in life. Win or lose, if the wrestler can learn these life skills during their time spent wrestling then it will have been a success for all involved.
